Grad Film Ideas

So... none of them is fleshed out or well thought of yet. Brainstorming. Yep.

Idea #1: A girl
In a world with no females or sexual reproduction  (babies are born from plants), a solitary man finds a baby that's just not like the rest. By learning about differences through his relationship with his new daughter, he learns how to deal with those that are more like him.

Idea #2: A ghost

After being kicked out of the haunted mansion that had been his home for a very long time, a lonely ghost decides to pack his bags and move to the city. Follow his adventures as he travels through Craigslist to find the perfect place to chill and as he develops relationships with the living! 

Idea #3: A convention

Nicolle, the local cosplay star and leader of the A-list girl clique at Central City Comic Con, hates fake nerds. After Anna, a casual sci-fi fan, wins the coolest and most precious action figure in a raffle, Nicolle and her friends will do anything to show her who's boss and kick her butt out of the convention for good.

Emerald City Comic Con: Day I

So, in a couple of minutes I'll be leaving home, crossing the border, and heading to Seattle for the Emerald City Comic Con! This is the first North American comic con I've ever been to (I've been to anime cons back in El Salvador before), and the first convention I'll be table-ing at! If you're around, come see and my beautiful friends Seth, Sunny, Rachel, Pakorn, and me. We'll be selling some pretty awesome arts and I'll even doodle stuff for you.

Also, if you follow my blog or my twitter, please come say hi! I'd love to meet up with any internet friends for coffee or comic-book-rock-star-stalking!

¡En un par de minutos salgo de mi casa, me cruzo la frontera, y me voy pa' Seattle para la Emerald City Comic Con! Es la primera convención a la que voy en Norteamérica (he ido a convenciones de anime y eso en El Salvador), y la primera en mi vida en la que voy a tener mesa y ser artista. Me mata de la risa esta idea. Si se dan una vuelta por ahí, no olviden pasar a saludar a mis guapos amigos Seth, Sunny, Rachel, Pakorn y a mí. Vamos a estar vendiendo cositas fabulosas, y si quieren les puedo hacer un dibujillo.


Y pues, si siguen mi blog o en twitter, pasen a decir hola. Sería lo máximo conocer amiguines de internet para tomar un café o ir a acosar celebridades comiqueras.

Scary Words

These are some of the scariest words I've come across in my life! As I approach my senior year at school, I have to take on a grad project and commit to it for an entire year. Working on my first short film sounds like the most amazing and dreadful thing ever.

Éstas son de las palabras más temibles con las que me he cruzado en la vida. Acercándome a mi cuarto (y último) año en la universidad, tengo que preparar un proyecto de tesis y comprometerme a trabajar en ésto por todo un ano. La idea de empezar a trabajar en mi primer corto animado es increíblemente fascinante y terrible a la vez. 

Luli

This is Luli and she's one of my bestest friends of all time.
I met her on twitter when we were both in our senior years in high school, and met IRL for the first time at an event in her school. She's the kind of person I can just break into song in the middle of a crowd with.
I miss her like crazy.

Esta es Luli y es una de mis más mejores amigas de todos los tiempos.
La conocí en twitter cuando las dos estábamos en nuestro último año de bachillerato, y la conocí por primera vez en el MundoReal en un evento que hubo en su escuela. Lu es el tipo de persona con la que puedo empezar a cantar de la nada en medio de un centro comercial lleno de gente.
La extraño con locura.

Emerald City Comic Con 2012

Hey guys! Going to ECCC in a couple of weeks? Make sure you come by the artists alley and say hi to a bunch of good looking people and me! It's my first time attending a con as an artist, and I'm really excited about that. Hope to see you there!

¿Tienen planes de ir a ECCC a final del mes? Asegúrense de darse una vuelta por la sección de artistas para saludarme a mí y a un par de mis amigos más talentosos. Es la primera vez que voy a una convención como "artista", y estoy súper emocionada por eso. Espero puedan darse una vuelta :D

Spring Break 2012

I had the really great opportunity to spend my spring break (or reading break, because I'm in Canada and things aren't looking too spring-y yet) on a school field trip in California. We visited some really great artists, art galleries, and a couple of animation studios. It was life changing!
